De Saisset Museum

I'm going to be a docent giving tours to this museum and Santa Clara Mission next fall.

My previous neighbor, Julie (as seen in the photos), is a docent here. She was a teacher in her past life as well and has been very involved in this program for the past 10 years.

They have an art museum and mission tour located on the Santa Clara University which is where Dale earned his Masters in Business.

Asian Art Museum
Princes, Palaces and Passion: The Art of India's Mewar Kingdom

I took my student to see this exhibit in April.

We had fun looking at the small paintings from India, plus the pottery display. This one was my favorite.

We were being silly posing for pictures.

Standford's Cantor Art Museum

For our birthdays, my friend Suzanne and I went to Stanford's museum. The Cantor Art Center’s collection of Rodin bronzes is the largest in the world outside Paris, second only to the Musee Rodin. More than fifty works by Rodin are on view inside the Center.

It was really cool to see the history and to understand about just a small portion of what that army does.

Lewis and Clark Boathouse and Nature Center

This is a really nice educational facility which features exhibits relating to the Lewis and Clark expedition as well as the Missouri River ecosystem.

Daisy had a good time finding all the animals that Lewis and Clark had discovered on their expedition.

Katy and Daisy posed in a replica of the handmade canoes from trees that they used on the last leg of their journey. They also have Seaman the dog on board.

Living History

Nothing like real people to talk to about history. I love places like this where they have Living History. This women was selling clothes she had recovered from the river. She said she didn't take any off dead bodies. The other was selling shoes that would protect your feet. She was worried about us because the redness in our toenails was a sign of infection (nail polish).

I found a printer to work with
I had slides and professional photos of some of my work
I made a spreadsheet for my art work
I brought more to this show than the last one
Once a year is the right amount for me
I have a lot of wonderful friends

My boys are my fans
I have a great husband
I'm a lucky girl

Thanks to my friends for supporting me and coming out to visit. It was a lot of fun to have you all come by. This was a lot of work to get together, yet I feel it is important to at least once a year step back and see what you have done. I feel you have to put yourself out there to grow. My teachers came by as well and were supportive of my efforts too. Just a sampling of my work I have now. I brought 11 paintings and 30 notecards to the show.
